
20th Century Fox has debuted (via Apple Trailers) the first full-length trailer for Ang Lee‘s 3D adaptation of Life of Pi, the best-selling novel written by Yann Martel. The studio has been quite excited with the film, even going so far as attaching selected uncut clips to some of its high-profile summer films such as Prometheus, Ice Age: Continental Drift, and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter. Life of Pi follows the story of a boy named Pi who finds himself adrift in the ocean with a hyena, zebra, orangutan, and Bengal tiger after a shipwreck. Lee’s vision has a certain otherworldly quality and this first trailer has managed to capture its essence while delivering tons of action and incredibly beautiful imagery which will surely look amazing in 3D. Life of Pi is set to hit theaters on November 21st, 2012. Check out the trailer below:
