The cast for Marvel‘s upcoming superhero sequel, Iron Man 3, keeps growing. Ashley Hamilton (Sunset Beach) is in talks to play Firepower/Jack Taggert, the pilot of an experimental mechanical suit similar to Iron Man’s. Expect a probable face off between Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) and Firepower in the film. Hamilton would join an all-star cast that includes Gwyneth Paltrow (The Avengers), Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2), Ben Kingsley (The Dictator), Guy Pearce (Prometheus), and Rebecca Hall (The Awakening). Marvel has recruited Shane Black (Kiss Kiss Bang Bang) to helm the third installment of the franchise which is expected to loosely follow the events of the comic “Iron Man: Extremis.” Production on the sequel has commenced with principal photography kicking off this week. Catch Iron Man 3 in theaters on May 3, 2013.
