Epic banner and SDCC exclusive poster released for “The Hobbit”

By

We’ve got an absolutely epic banner released today for The Hobbit via Entertainment Weekly. The banner shows us 12 scenes from the upcoming first part of Peter Jackson‘s adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien‘s The Hobbit, titled The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey. The scenes include Gandalf’s (Ian McKellen) arrival at Bag End, a feast with all the dwarves, a scene in Rivendell, a meeting with a certain possessive creature and Bilbo (Martin Freeman) floating down a river along with the dwarves in barrels. This banner ramps up our excitement for the first film along with giving us a general idea of where the first film will end. We hope that Jackson can rekindle the magic he brought with The Lord of the Rings trilogy and going by what we’ve seen and the scenes shown in this banner, he just might have. We’ll be seeing more images and footage as we approach SDCC where the film will be featured during the Warner Bros/Legendary Pictures panel. In advance of that, we’ve also been treated to an SDCC exclusive poster for the film. Catch The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey in theaters on December 14, 2012. Check out the banner and poster below:
