Lionsgate has released today the first official trailer for their upcoming action film The Last Stand. The film stars Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Expendables 2) as a sheriff of a quiet border town who goes to great lengths to protect his peaceful town when it is threatened by a drug kingpin (Eduardo Noriega). After viewing the trailer, I just have to say that Arnold is back and in a big way. It looks like director Jee-Woon Kim really rose to the occasion with Schwarzengger’s first lead role in years. The action harkens back to Arnold’s prime with some seriously awesome looking set pieces which include a machine gun on the back of a school bus. My expectations for the film have just been substantially raised and I hope they will include some classic Arnold one-liners.
