“Maps to the Stars” to reunite Cronenberg, Pattinson and Mortensen

By

News has surfaced today that David Cronenberg‘s next project could be the controversial Maps to the Stars. Specific plot details are still under-wraps but the film will be Cronenberg’s take on the Hollywood lifestyle and will supposedly include a glimpse at two child actors who get ruined by its depravity. It seems Cronenberg has recruited two seasoned actors with whom he has worked with before, Robert Pattinson (Cosmopolis) and Viggo Mortensen (A Dangerous Method) to play the lead roles in the film. It still remains to be seen if Cronenberg can get the film made, but count me as one who is excited to see what he can do with this subject matter. Stay tuned for more news on Maps to the Stars.
