Walt Disney Home Entertainment has announced the details and release date for Marvel‘s The Avengers on Blu-ray. It will be released on September 25th in two packages: a 3D combo pack and a 2D combo pack. The film will have an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 along with a 7.1 DTS-HD Master Audio track. This is fantastic news as The Avengers is currently my favorite film of the year so I’m expecting the usual high quality video and audio transfer from Disney. We will also be treated to a plethora of special features including what should a be a great commentary from director Joss Whedon.
