Marvel Studios has announced that English actor Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbale (The Thing) has been added to the cast of Thor: The Dark World. Although the film’s main villain has been announced (Christopher Eccleston), Agbale will also take on a villainous role. His first character is the strongest of the Dark Elves, Algrim the Strong. Algrim is ruled by Eccleston’s character Malekith until Algrim is betrayed by his lord. Injured in battle, Algrim is healed and turned into Kurse, an entity with twice the strength of anyone from Asdgard. This role is one of many in a busy year so far for Agbale, who joins Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman, Tom Hiddleston, Anthony Hopkins, and Idris Elba in the sequel to 2011′s Thor. Thor: The Dark World is set for release on November 8, 2013!
