Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov, through his production company Bezelevs, has picked up a script titled The Current War. This new project would serve as Bekmambetov’s next directorial effort, his latest film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter will hit theaters this summer. The Current War was penned by Michael Mitnick and earned a place on last year’s Black List. The plot revolves around the discord between inventors Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse regarding the development of electricity and the acceptance of their respective systems by the general population.
