Warner Brothers looking at Ben Affleck to direct “Justice League”

By

In a move that nobody seems to have predicted or even thought of, Warner Brothers seems to be eyeing actor-director Ben Affleck (Argo) for their upcoming superhero film Justice League. If I were to make a list of directors that the studio could consider for director for this film, Affleck would be nowhere on it and I’m sure I’m not the only one perplexed by this. It’s not that he doesn’t have the chops for it, you just have to look at The Town to see how good he can be, but it seems like this type of film would be quite foreign to him. Still, rumors report that Affleck is taking a look at the script written by Will Beall (Gangster Squad) first before he makes a decision. I don’t believe Affleck will take the directing chair for this film as he would already have to rearrange a film to get on board. Anything is possible however as Warner seems to only be in contact with Affleck for the job currently. Stay tuned for more news on Justice League.
